    Xbox One not reading BO2 disc


    Hi, my Xbox One is not reading my Black Ops 2 disc. My Xbox 360 has no problem reading the disc though.

    I tried hard resetting, cleaning the disc, etc. Nothing worked. I've seen other people mention they are having this problem but no response from support.

    Any idea why this may be happening?

    I am extremely sorry for this issue that you are experiencing. I want to get you gaming so you can enjoy your birthday weekend with your controller in you hand and hours of games to play. I have a quick question about the setup of your console.

    1. Is the Xbox standing on its side or are you laying it down?
    2. Are you still experiencing the Grinding issues?
    3. Are all of your games experiencing the Grinding issue?

    Mine does the same thing. Every other game reads fine bo2. Just got my 3 disc and it still won't read right

    Another suggestion is to remove the disc. If the disc is slightly scratched and it has a hard time reading it, then the dashboard could take a few minutes to boot up (happens to me with my BO2 disc). If I open the tray during bootup it will load the dashboard
    almost immediately).

    Make sure the disc is clean and doesn't have any scratches.

    It has to be downloaded to the Xbox One along with the emulator to run it.

    BO2 is NOT BC. Just BO1.

    Hi,

    It's not the discs it's your console. If your console can not read DVD movies then it won't read Xbox 360 games either. DVD movie discs use the same type of discs that 360 games use (DVD-9).

    The Xbox One has two lasers to read discs. One for Blu-rays - which Xbox One discs games are made of - and one for reading DVD's and Xbox 360 games.
