    Hi,

    i want to install and play CoD Modern Warfare 2 on my Xbox one X but when i put in the disc, nothing happens.

    I tried it with some other games which are also backward-compatible (CoD MW2, R.U.S.E., GTA IV), but also these are not working, nothing happens when i put in the discs. (Not even a error-message)

    Blue-Ray and Xbox One games are no problem, these are working perfect, the xbox starts them directly.

    is there someone who also got these problems or any idea how to fix this?

    And yes, i already did a restart, a reset, i did the „put in and hold the disc for half a second trick“

    Hi,

    Have you tried DVD movie discs? DVD Movie discs are DVD-9 format, the same as 360 discs.

    If the Xbox One can't read these either then I'm afraid your console needs a repair as the laser that reads DVD's has failed.

    We suggest utilizing this link how to troubleshoot problems playing a disc on your Xbox
    One     that provides an analysis of what may be occurring when discs won't read.

    Dont know how that can happen with a one year old console..

    Hello Nudel,

    Thanks for letting us know the DVD disks don't work either. You can go to
    device support     to check warranty status and set up a repair. As the console is in need of repair and there is nothing more we can do, i will go ahead and lock the thread.
