    Xbox One not powering up?

    Hi,

I'm having a problem with my Xbox one its been working fine since launch. Just before New Years Eve I went to power the console on and it wont power up.

The power units light seems to turn on for a few seconds orange then fades out, I tried to plug the power unit in but not have it plugged into the back off the Xbox One when I do this the light stays on orange. But if its plugged into the back of the console
it goes off after a couple of seconds.

Is this likely to be a problem with the Power supply or the console?

Im guessing the power supply but just with the light staying on when its plugged into the mains but then the cable not into the back of the Xbox one I was unsure.

Any information would be most appreciated.

    :)

  2. Xbox one not powering on?

So I was curious if anyone has ever experienced this issue with their X1. Basically I had the X1 plugged in to a specific outlet moved just a few feet to another outlet and it would not power on. So I called support told me to try another brick. Also did
all the resetting tips for my brick. Now granted everything else was working in this plug whenever I plugged something in. So I plugged it back into the original outlet and bam it powered up. But now it won't power on again even tho it's plugged into the outlet
that worked before. Anybody else experience anything like this? I'm not sure if my X1 is just faulting since it's the original X1.

Xbox One S not powering on.

So I got a 2TB Xbox One S on launch back in August. Up until now it worked fine minus a beeping and clicking noise from time to time that support said was normal, but just yesterday (Christmas of all days) it powered itself off and will not turn back on,
it doesn't even make the beeping noise when I hit the power button. I searched the problem and tried the solutions (basically power cycling) but it still won't work. Anyone know what could be causing this? I'm guessing I have to send it in to be serviced.

    Xbox One not powering up

    Hello @stevecarr98!

If the console won't power up, please check the following:

    • Check that the wall outlet you’re using is working with other devices.
    • Check that the power cable is firmly connected to the wall outlet and to your console.
    • Ensure that you're using the power cable which came with your console, and that it's the correct cable for your region.
    • If your console still will not turn on, it needs to be serviced. To request service, sign in to Device service and repair with your Microsoft account and submit a service order: Device Services

    Xbox one not powering up

Hey, goodnight. Thanks for the response. The main problem I'm having is the console's not coming on at all. It's to the point where plugging the control in the console is not even responsive. At this point I'm guessing it has to be a defect in the brick.

Hello, how are you? My name is Mateus. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'll be glad to help you today.

First, welcome to the Xbox community. I'm sorry you're having this problem.

Apparently, it can be a power problem, in this case, a defect connected to the power supply, but I recommend that before anything else try the solutions provided below, to see if they can alleviate this defect you are having.

    Solution 1:

You can also hard reset the Xbox One console and its cache. Here is how to do so:

Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

    Solution 2:

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:

*Select the option to keep my games and apps so they are not deleted

This solution you can find in the link below.

If that doesn't work, please initiate a repair order for your console at the Microsoft website below.

*I hope this can help you.
