I'm attempting to use the Windows 10 Xbox app to stream games to my computer. I have a Comcast provided modem with four ethernet ports. One port is connected to my router, which my PC is connected to via ethernet cable. Another port is directly connected
to my Xbox One.

When I click 'connect' in the Xbox app, it does not detect the console. However, when the console was connected to the
router, via wireless signal, it could detect the console. Anyone have a clue why this is, and how to fix the issue?

Xbox one Controller not being picked up by an app or game.

Hello,

I am having some problems with using my Xbox one controller on windows 10 in both wired and wireless connections. After the anniversary edition update, my controller was not being detected by any games. Its listed in the device manager network adapters section
properly (and under the xbox peripherals section if I connect it with a wire), however no game seems to detect a controller being detected. The Xbox accessories app itself does not detect my controller.

Please help.

All instructions are for Xbox One to Windows 10 or Xbox 360 to Windows 7 or earlier. Previously you could connect to the Windows Media Center but not sure I even have that on this new pc. It only offers connection via the useless xbox app to Xbox One :-(

You may want to check the settings on your router for and DMZ settings that may be causing a conflict, I know a lot of provided routers and modems will block talking back and forth between devices. You may have to call your cable company to help with this
issue and to get access to the router settings.

Another possible solution is to manually enter your Xbox's IP address into the windows 10 app.

To do this go to:

Xbox App -> Connect -> Add a Device (In the top right corner) -> Then type in the IP address

To get your Xbox's IP on your Xbox go to:

Settings -> Network -> Network Settings -> Advanced settings

In regard to connecting directly to the gateway; that was only possible by connecting the Xbox directly to the router via the one available lan port, and the pc to the router's usb port. Attempt to stream music to the Xbox is halted when the pc can't be
detected. On the pc's end, no network could be detected when attached to the router via usb.

Just for the hell of it I connected the Xbox Ethernet directly to the back of the pc; the Xbox couldn't detect the pc this way either.

The xbox is set as my home xbox. Any other steps i can try?

Are you connecting via the mobile app on the same wireless network as the console, or are you connected via the phone's mobile carrier and the xbox console is "technically" on a different network?

HELP! my controller seems to be able to connect to my computer via usb cable and the wireless adapter but the Xbox accessories app is unable to detect a controller. When I first connected the controller via wireless adapter, it was able to detect it and
there were some driver updates, but it disconnected halfway through and after many retries, I have yet to be able to make Xbox Accessories detect controller.
