  1. Xbox one not controlling TV or Comcast Box

I've been trying to get the OneGuide and Live TV to work and the Xbox / Kinect doesn't seem to control anything (TV or set top box). The one guide shows up correctly, but it will not change the channels. I've tried multiple options for the cable provider
and set top box, and have moved the kinect around the room with no luck.

I have a Comcast X1 box, Make & Model: MO MX011ANM. I've tried putting in Comcast, Motorola, and Xfinity as the provider but none of them work.

The Kinect registers my voice correctly (i.e. Xbox turn off) so it seems like it's working, but it doesn't control the tv or box.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    :)

No Audio from Comcast Cable Box through HDMI.

When I connect my cable box (Comcast) to my XBox One, I get no sound through the HDMI cable. My XBox Audio is fine.

Display and Sound: TV Connection HDMI.

Devices TV (Visio Model Selected). Cable or Satellite Box (Comcast Selected).

    Audio Receiver (Not Set)

    Digial Audio

    HDMI Audio Stereo Uncompressed

    Optical Audio Off

    Comcast Cable DVR

The Xbox One Demonstration showed it controlling live TV. 95% of TV I watch is recorded on a DVR. Will the Xbox One be able to control a Comcast DVR with its scheduling, searching, and series preferences? Will this be done using the IR port and an emitter?
Is it possible to use voice controls with the new Kinect and a Comcast DVR?

  4. Xbox one not controlling TV or Comcast Box

I too just upgraded to the Comcast X1 box. When I ran through the setup on the Xbox, I chose the manual selection and went with Comcast then X1. It seems to working for me as I'm able to change channels via Kinect. Hopefully this will work for ya or someone
with more knowledge can lend a hand.

    Good luck

  5. Yeah, I was able to get it fixed through Xbox support. It turns out my Kinect had a problem with it (which is why nothing was working Xbox one not controlling TV or Comcast Box :) I was able to get everything squared with the new one.

    Tv channels skipping

enables voice and motion controls. Oneguide may not replace my comcast dvr, but its a nice supplement for some basic channel surfing when your hands are busy.

Snap TV is also pretty sweet, play forza with some tv in the background.

FWIW, I have had no issues with tv, comcast motorola box.

    picture keeps blinking consitnley

I too am having the same problem. I live in northeast Florida and have Comcast as my provider. The box is branded "Comcast" but it is a DCX 3400-M made my Motorola. I've done complete reconfiguration 4 times, naming both "Comcast" as my cable box and
"Motorola" as my cable box to no avail. I've tried the suggestions above (unplugging HDMI cables, unplugging cable box, reconnecting everything, both with the XBOX ONE on and off) also to no avail.

At this point watching TV is impossible through the XBOX ONE, although not using XBOX ONE it works just fine.

My TV is a VIZIO model XVT3D650SV

Any help is appreciated - having the XBOX ONE being my "one source" was a factor in purchasing this over the competition.

Constant "We've lost your TV signal"

Getting the "We've lost your TV signal" message along with video hangs with some throughput on new Xbox One. Using the Comcast Explorer 8300HD with HDMI pass-thru.

Throughput to cable box is excellent (5) and absolutely no issues when not hooked up to Xbox One.

Appears this is a Comcast/Xbox One problem?
