XBOX ONE not controlling DirecTV Box HR44-700

Discus and support XBOX ONE not controlling DirecTV Box HR44-700 in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I just switch to DirecTV and got the new HR44-700 box.     XBOX ONE not controlling DirecTV Box HR44-700


    I just switch to DirecTV and got the new HR44-700 box. I cannot get the Xbox One to issue commands to the receiver.

    My setup is this.

    OPTOMA HD20 PROJECTOR

    ONKYO RECEIVER TX-NR636

    XBOX ONE

    KINECT

    DIRECTV BOX HR44-700 (this is the newest GENIE I believe)

    HARMONY 650 REMOTE

    DIRECTV BOX is in a closet with the XBOX and ONKYO RECEIVER while the KINECT and ir repeater eye is outside. The ir repeater eye takes the signal from outside the closet and plugs into the IR REPEATER. My IR REPEATER can take multiple inputs from various
    receivers so I also plugged a cable from the ir transmitter port on the XBOX and plugged it into the IR REPEATER as well. I have a HARMONY REMOTE that I have set up for the XBOX, the DIRECTV BOX, and the ONKYO RECEIVER. The HARMONY REMOTE controls all the
    components just fine through the IR REPEATER. The XBOX also controls everything, except the DIRECTV BOX.

    The signals coming from the ir transmitter port on the XBOX and into the IR REPEATER work just fine and will control the ONKYO RECIEVER. I have covered the eye outside the closet and it still controls the ONKYO RECEIVER so I know that works without the
    KINECT.

    I have seen other posts that show to make sure the DIRECTV BOX has to be set to IR mode, but the new box will work with both IR and RF at the same time. In fact the IR/RF SETUP option is greyed out. Since I can control it with the harmony remote, I assume
    that IR works.

    I have tried all sorts of remote codes and still nothing. Has anyone got the new HR44-700 DIRECTV BOX to work with the XBOX ONE yet? Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

    Controlling DirecTV HR21-700

    For some reason, Kinect IR will not issue commands for my box. No channel, volume, etc commands work even though model is listed under manual search. Controls television and audio receiver just fine. Anyone else having this problem? This box is pretty common,
    so I'm pretty sure I can't be the only one having this problem. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Controlling DirecTV HR21-700

    Yep. Mine controls the TV and audio receiver fine, but cannot control anything on my Directv HR23/700.

    Xbox one won't switch channels (Direct TV)

    OK, I am battling a similar problem. First, I have gotten Xbox One to control my Genie HR44 successfully. What I did was switch it from RF to IR mode and set it up to work with an older RC65 or RC66 remote (from another DVR box HR22). I can control the HR44
    with this (RC66) remote selector set to "D" (DirecTV). So with that done, I was able to march through the Xbox TV setup telling it that my Sat provider was DirecTV and then let it run through the automatic equipment identification (sending Channel UP). Once
    that was done, I could control the HR44 with my voice. It understands channel selection, Pause, Play, Skip, etc.

    Now here is my problem. I also have an older DVR box (HR22), and using the RC66 remote in the "D" mode controls both the HR44 and HR22 at the same time. Not what I want. I can setup the HR44 to use different codes by changing its Remote Control receiver
    mode from DirecTV to AV1/AV2 (under Menu-Settings&Help-Settings-Remote Control-Receiver Mode). Once done, I can control the HR44 with the RC66 selector set to AV1 and I can control the HR22 with the RC66 set to "D".

    My problem is that I cannot get the Xbox One to send these alternative codes to control the HR44 when it's in this AV1/AV2 mode.

    I did notice that under the Xbox One Troubleshooting menu there is an option to to enter a specific device remote control code (Menu button - Settings- Troubleshooting-Enter Device Remote Code). It is looking for some unspecified 4 digit code. There is not
    mention of what kind of code, brand, etc. There is a reference to support.xbox.com but I could find no mention of this there. A thorough search of the Internet didn't reveal anything either. I did find some 4 digit codes for various universal remote controls
    from brands like RCA and Panasonic but I'm not sure if these are what the Xbox One is looking for.

    Any help here would be appreciated. There must be a code to get the Xbox to send the Alternative (AV1/AV2) codes for a DirecTV box. I'm surprised that Microsoft doesn't have an article on the use of these 4 digit codes...

    direct tv not working

    Even though I have the Directv HR44-200, which the xbox won`t recognize, I tried the setting for HR44-500. which is on the list of Directv models. I works better, but still takes about a minute to come on. This thing would be more useful as a anchor!

    Mine quit working too. Since the November update. I have a DirecTV genie hr44 sat box. Work fine before now it does not. I did everything to get it to work. It has to be the new update.
