    Xbox One Messaging Showing 6 Unread when there are no messages.


    My xbox is saying i have 6 unread messages when i have no unread messages to view. i have cleared all chat requests, and my message queue only goes back to 10 month old messages, and have removed the account and re added it. i have also tried trouble shooting the network settings. i suspect its something to do with account corruption or cloud issues. please help i am tired of seeing the 6. i am unable to see the unread messages and on the console and they don't show up on the pc xbox app and the xbox phone app. i also have only used the one account on the console.

    Hmmm. I had the same issue what i did was it was a 360 message that never got fully received by the xbox one message box i'd check my 360 read any messages and try it from there. if the home doesn't update just press the RT-LT and Y buttons simultaneously

    No messages show up on Xbox.com either. Per your advice I removed my profile from the Xbox One and then re-added it. This was not successful at solving the problem. It seems that the error is directly linked to my Xbox account and this "ghost" message will
    not got away unless resolved at that level.

    Thanks for posting! Let's start off by
    removing your Xbox Live profile from your Xbox One     and then sign back in. Due to what was described, this notification may persist for brief amount of time until it falls off. I would I also check if you have any long running conversations and scroll through
    just incase that may clear that notification out.
