    Xbox One making whirring or static noise


    hi guys, sorry if there is already a forum for this but I have been looking everywhere. So I have had my xbox one first gen console from about a year since launch. And only recently it has started making a whirring or static like noise. I know it's probably
    the inside fan but I don't no where to go from here. I have try to get help from support but don't have a clue what I'm looking for and on top of this Xbox ambassadors didn t help me that much too. I have read multiple articles stating that microsoft take
    full responsibility for the whirring noise and said "they will replace them" but I don't no if this is true. I'm just stuck on what I can do and how to go about it, so hopefully some of you guys could help me out. Thank you

    Fan noise on 'new' console

    Now it's making a strange whirring noise as well as ticking like a cricket.

    Xbox One making strange high pitched noises

    I have an Xbox One that is making strange high pitched (beeping sort of, sounds sort of like a malfunctioning fire alarm) noises during an update. I haven't updated nor used the console in a while... I have heard the "high pitched whirring" noises coming
    from my Xbox but this sounds different. Is it just my Xbox updating or do I have an issue with it?

    I just tried to use a couple discs on my xbox one COD bundle and nothing is reading . It makes a slight whirring noise but its not scratching the discs or anything. Crazy to have problems on day 3 of owning the system.

    Well, a 'grinding' noise certainly doesn't sound good. However, my Xbox 360 S will make a short, loud whirring sound sometimes, which is perfectly normal.
