    Xbox one making squealing noise


    My Xbox one is making a loud squealing noise and then it will freeze. The noise does not stop till i physically unplug it. It used to only happen once in a while but not it happens 3 minutes after being turned on.

    Powered on my xbox one for the first time, works great, got to the mandatory system update. It downloaded it all fine but after it restarted it started making a very high pitch squealing electronic sound. no game disc is in it, it just makes a ton of noise
    for whatever reason. it doesn't stop either. if the power cord is plugged in, its squeaking and squealing. anyone having this problem too?

    Squealing Noise

    Hello,

    My Xbox is barely a year old and now after I have been playing it for 15 minutes or more, it'll start making this squealing noise. There is no evidence of anything being wrong on the screen, in game. Just the odd noise coming from the console. Any advice?

    Xbox one making squealing noise

    The only moving parts that could make a squealing noise could be the ventilation fan. If that is squealing, it means the bearing is broken, and the fan doesn't spin as quickly as necessary to get the hot air out of the case.

    If its coming from the fan, then it may be a bad fan problem if so i would take it back to your nearest ms store. I had that issue as well

    What Xbox do you have and from how long it's making noise?
    Its been making the noise for quite a while now, a lot longer then i should have been letting it go on. My xbox one is one of the original ones. I don't have an s or x.
