    xbox one making high pitch noise when streaming


    For the past few months a high pitched, unbearable noise comes my Xbox One whenever I stream video (Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, etc). The noise doesn't happen as often whenever someone plays a game but it does it everytime we try to stream video. I have checked
    online to see if there was an answer for what was happening and the only thing I could find was the below link:

    Are you still honoring this offer? If so, how do I go about getting a new Xbox One?

    xbox one making high pitch noise

    Starting within the past week or so, whenever we have our Xbox One on a loud high pitched noise will occur. It will happen for a minute or two and then stop for a little while. I have tried moving it off of the stand we have it on but that does not fix the
    issue. Any help that can be giving would be greatly appreciated.

    Is anyone monitoring these forums? I posted this
    10 days ago     and there has been no response from anyone at XBox. This is pathetic! I have been a loyal customer since the first Xbox console in 2001. Maybe I should just trade in all my games, console and controllers and switch to PS4.

    It might be the fans ball barrings causing the noise. If it's still under warranty send it in to get looked at.

    Mine occasionally makes noises, but I wouldn't consider them high pitched. Is it lasting for extended periods of time or is it just brief noises?
