    Xbox one loses wifi connection every night


    My Xbox one loses connection to the wifi every night at 11 pm. The wifi in the house is still working as other devices still have wifi connectivity. There are no parental controls on the unit.

    Hello again Jack75AB,

    I understand, but perhaps there is some configuration that is affecting the Xbox, it is strange that this happens since the console does not have an automatic configuration that disconnects the internet connection. Therefore, I would recommend you contact your ISP (Internet Provider) so they can help you with this problem.

    Just out of curiosity, did you go to the link I sent you and see all the comments from other users who were helping someone else with a problem similar to this? If you haven't done it, I invite you to do it. There are many steps there that you can try before contacting your ISP.

    I understand that you are experiencing issues where your console disconnects from your wireless network at a specific time. The Xbox One does not have a specific setting to disconnect at certain times outside of being restricted in family settings. Have you tried checking if your router has some kind of auto restart option? Most home routers, modems, and gateways have options to reboot at a time that can be configured by the user or manufacturer. Additionally, you may want to connect your console using an Ethernet cable to your network device instead of using a wireless connection.

    I have checked that but it affects only the Xbox. No other wireless devices add impacted.

    My mom says that I need to turn off the wifi router every night but when I turn on my router and I turn on my xbox my xbox won't connect to the wifi so I have to restart my xbox kinda every day so it connect to the wifi and it's really annoying so what can I do to fix it?

    I live in the same house as my mum and my brother, and my brother has an xbox, and has not encountered this problem, so I doubt it would be the wifi. Also I turn my xbox off at the wall every night, so it won't have a connection to the wifi overnight.
    Still doesn't fix it.
