Xbox one looking for tv picture

Just got it yesterday set it all up. Tried hooking it up to cable but durning looking for picture it's blank. I skipped that but the xbox and tv and cable I get on voice command. I can change channels but no picture.

We have Directv and still can't get ours to work ..tried diff cables and diff HDMI ports on the tv.. still waiting 12 sec for detection.. one of the main reasons we bought it

I have had a similar issue while connecting my HD box. The HDMI in port on the Xbox was the culprit. All I had to do was apply slight downward pressure to the HDMI cord while it was inserted into the port and it started working fine. Try wiggling it up
down left and right until the picture shows up on your screen. Hope this helps.

When I first set up my set top box with my xbox one I had a similar issue, connect your cable to the tv directly and check your video settings, my main issue was that my cable was 1080i 50hz and the xbox is. 1080p 60hz. I changed the cable video settings
to 720p and this solved my problems. Here is a link with some other tips on getting your picture sorted.

I have a new XBOX One and new 3D HDTV, and a Arris-Motorola MX011ANM X1 cable box from Comcast. I have not been able to get the Live TV to work. I have the settings, "Comcast" and "X1", but it's still on "Looking for your TV picture." I've tried 3 different
HDMI cables, that work on everything else that I've tried them with, and I've reset my cable box, but nothing works. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

From my experience with Comcast I found that you have to pay for HD cable if you want to be able to use the HDMI jack in the back of the cable box. After several phone calls and arguments with them they told me that they shut off the HDMI jack if you don't
have the HD package. As I can't afford the package I ended up getting rid of cable tv all together. If you have an HD Package you may want to call and tell Comcast that you cable box is broken. (I've had that issue before) They will send you another one you
can try and all you have to do is send them the old box. It was free shipping when I did it.

I have Comcast and seem to be having the same issue. After going through everything I can find I found several things that may cause the issue.

-Check to make sure the cords are all connected and none of them are bad.

-Check to make sure you cable box is set to 720p this option should be in your cable box menu.

- To get to the menu turn your tv on and have your cable box off. Press and hold menu and info buttons on your remote (I believe) for a few seconds. This should get you to the menu.

-Unplug your cable box for 30 sec. then plug it back in to reset it if the above don't work.

-I the option I'm to is calling Comcast because the HDMI port in the back of the cable box is not sending a signal still so they have to check it on their end.

I will update once I get mine fixed.
