Xbox One lagging and freezing on home/dashboard/on loading up

My Xbox one is just now started to run very slow and laggy, I have tried turning it on and off, hard resets and even leaving it unplugged for several hours. It hasn't changed, I'd actually say its gotten worse.

It says the home screen isn't responding or such with a pop up sometimes, i try and go to my settings and it freezes, i have tried offline but it turned itself off again.

I thought it was overheating but it was rather cool, I'm unsure why this is happening, it's also kicking me off my games a lot. I just want some sort of advice or guidence.

I'm sorry if this isn't in the right category I'm new to this.

Fixed screen problems with update tool, a day later game losing audio starts freezing.

I was having problems with the very long green xbox loading screen and also the black screen. I downloaded the offline update tool on a usb and installed it. It seemed to clear up my problems. Now, a day later, while playing Destiny, I start having no audio,
and when I try to go to home screen, the buttons or direction commands aren't working or either freezing/lagging. Any solutions?

no didn't work still freezing up on loading screen deleted and installed again rebooted still kicks to home screen but can load right in on same account on switch

No official word. Just Xbox users letting it be known that systems are freezing up/dashboard won't load after the update.

re: For the past couple of weeks my console freezes when I turn it on whil e it is trying to load the dashboard. It gets past the XBox splashscreen, but freezes while the spinning double circle is on the screen (prior to the actual dashboard menu actually
coming up). I have a XBox 360 S, with just the 4GB of memory (no hard drive). Even after it freezes, the controller still communicates with the console and the Kinect sensor starts up. Also, if I eject the tray while the console is off and close it before
it freezes, it will load the game and I can play the game fine (no freezing during the game). So it seems to only be a problem with the loading of the dashboard. Also, I do not get the RROD, the lights on the console stay green. Thanks. - SugaredQuill368

Im having almost the same exact issue, except mine will freeze either at the splashscreen, or the double load circles before the dashboard comes up. Another odd thing i noticed while its stuck at the splashscreen, my controller will go from one green light
solid, to 2 flashing alternatively. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have the exact same problem, I installed the update and now it freezes when it trys to loads the dashboard. I took out my HDD and restarted the xbox and the dashboard loaded fine. Witch mean's that it's the update that bugged up my xbox...

had a few dramas loading up last night. Kept getting stuck on the loading screen. (The one with the rain)

After a couple of tries, it ran perfectly. No lag, disconnects or dashboarding.

Had a few cracking games!

At this point, it sounds like your console could use some lovin'. I would suggest sending it in for repair.
