XBOX ONE keeps asking for update that never completes

Hey there,

If the console is not taking the update, there could be an issue with the console that's just not as apparent. Have you tried multiple USB ports on the console with the update file or another USB flash drive? At what point does the console fail to update?

I have the same problem after update. Xbox one keeps asking for password and nothing happens.

WHEN THE GAME STARTS ITS STATES THAT A UPDATE IS NEEDED AND A RESTART. THE NEXT MESSAGE SAYS UPDATED COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY. BUT WHEN YOU START THE GAME AGAIN ITS KEEPS SAYING UPDATED NEEDED AND RESTART. THIS KEEPS HAPPEINING AND THE GAME NEVER STARTS .

First, make sure the console is updated. If it is not, update it and see if it still asks you the same thing. If the problem persists after updating, then try the following:

"Please try to solve the problem by doing the following procedures:

1. With the Xbox on, press the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until it turns off completely.

2. Unplug the power cord from the console and wait 30 seconds.

3. Reconnect the power cable to your console and turn it on normally.

4. Check if the problem persists, if so, please reset your console to its factory settings keeping your games and applications as follows:

Go to Settings > System > Console Info > Reset Console > Reset and keep games and apps.

This way your console will be reconfigured and you will have to add your account again. No game or application will be deleted, nor will you lose the progress of any game since these are saved in the Xbox Cloud.

5. Check if the problem persists."

People are complaining because Xbox One dashboard keeps changing and it's always something they never asked for. Look for the posts on the forums. You'll be shocked by the outrage it caused, just like the Xbox 360 dashboard that we have now, when it was
added in 2011. We never asked for it. A lot of people have been asking for the NXE dashboard and the Blades dashboard for YEARS, and we never got either of them back. That proves that the development team does what it wants.
