    I'll give as much information as I can about the issue I've been having. A couple of days ago, I came home to get on Xbox and I noticed that it wasn't connecting to Xbox live. We've had some WiFi issues in the past (I'm connected via wireless), so I checked
    the connection and it said it was all good. Over the past couple of days, I have become increasingly frustrated because I am pretty good about getting things like this to work, but it seems like every solution that people have given either hasn't worked, or
    my Xbox won't let me do it.

    I HAVE DONE A HARD RESET ON MY XBOX AND MY ROUTER. Multiple times.

    I got to a point where nothing was working so I deleted my account off my Xbox to see if adding it back would help. Now it won't even let me add my account back - it just never gives me an option to input an account.

    I have tried to reset the console through System Settings, but when I try to do that it says "We couldn't remove this console's home Xbox associations." I don't know what that means or how it affects this issue but it won't let me do a console reset. There
    are no available updates as my device is up to date. At this point I'm pretty desperate to figure out how I can add my account back and then how I can connect to Live again.

    I know the internet is fine because my laptop, phone, and my roommates' Xbox's are all connected and playing on Live just fine, which is even more frustrating.

    I'm open to any suggestions but please don't ask if I've tried doing a hard reset...

    I've been having this identical problem with my xboxone. I'm starting to think it is Microsoft and not my console bc my xbox upstairs has a new background as though it updated and is working perfectly. I'm thinking something happened during an update to
    the one I can't get to cooperate. Lmk if you find a solution that works! I've tried everything.

    No im not having any problems with the wifi, my console connects to the internet as soon as the home screen comes up. Games work as well but i cant play anything without signing in to my account, if i do try to sign in as soon as i put my password in my

    Hi iconicWezza,

    A big process to fix a small issue, but in the end you might have to Factory Default Reset your Xbox:

    There might be something else quicker and easier, but it might be easier to just reset it following one of these choices and then re-download all your games etc.

    For the future, it can also be a good idea to get a USB 3 HDD for your Xbox (it's what I have), and Transfer all your Games etc to it. Games load and run faster from a USB 3 HDD plugged into your Xbox than from the Internal HDD, and also it lets you do a
    Full Reset of your Xbox and not have to download everything again.
