Xbox one issues -make sure you inserted a game, cd, movie

In that case, are you able to insert a DVD movie on your Xbox One and check if the console is able to read it correctly? Make sure it is a DVD, not a CD or Blu-ray disc.

sounds to me like your disk drive is going bad but you may try a cd cleaner maybe and make sure you clean your games before inserting them into the system but if the xbox is still under warranty call best buy,gamestop or microsoft and get it replaced.

Can you check if your console can read DVD discs please? To do this just insert a DVD movie disc. If it works, the console will load the Blu-ray Player app (make sure this this downloaded from the Xbox Store).

Note that the disc you try must be a DVD not an Xbox One or a Blu-ray movie disc.

If your console won't start the DVD movie disc then this indicates a fault with your Xbox One Blu-ray drive. These drives contain two lasers, one for DVD's and one for Blu-ray discs. Xbox One disc games are on Blu-ray, Xbox 360 games are DVD's.

I was playing bf4 a few hours ago and took a break and now the game does not load. No noise but xbox one does not read disc it just displays a frozen screen shot of bf4 then auto returns to main home page. I just inserted a blueray movie and it's playing
the movie find. I'm waiting a while then I will try again. One other issue, the stereo speakers stopped working via the xbox one connection too... When I play a music cd on stereo it works but it doesn't on Xbox one through tv settings .... Weird because everything
was fine a few hours ago. Anyone else having this problem?
