Xbox One is the most unstable console ever

I've been searching if anyone else is experiencing multiple issues with their Xbox, haven't found anything important.

So my question is simple.. Is it just me or Xbox One (S) is extremely unstable compared to other consoles and PC?

• In many times I have to restart my console, because I keep getting "This game took too long to start" messages while trying to run Xbox 360-compatible games.
• When I try watching videos, Media Player very often freezes & crashes until I plug out my USB storage device and plug in again. Sometimes I have to restart the console to get things working again..
• Watching HTML5/Flash videos in Edge is impossible, after watching for 1 minute or so I keep getting streaming errors.
• Even Xbox One games are unstable, they crash sometimes. I know, games crash, bugs exist. But the frequency of such occasions is much higher compared to any console I owned before (Xbox 360, Wii U and PS3).
• Controllers sometimes lose connection, and I'm having difficulty reconnecting them until I restart Xbox, once again.
• Just a fun fact: never have I ever had such a huge load of empty batteries in my drawer, and I don't play too much.

So far the only thing that's stable is YouTube (the application, I mean, because web would crash in no time, I'm pretty sure), so I can't call Xbox a "console-quality" product anymore, because, as I mentioned before, many consoles (including Xbox 360) performed
much better.

Connection issue... please help

well i wouldn't say that MS would lose all together. yea the current xbox one model is unstable and doesn't work half the time (or most) but they could always come out with a newer model that will be better like they did with the 360. the console was rushed
anyway, so maybe they are taking there time on the next model of xbox one (hopefully)

also, the 360 was weak and unstable when it came out, now look at it. its like a fully tuned Nissan Skyline GTR R34.

 

Internet Explorer constantly crashing

I really think you guys need to work on IE..Its the most unstable app iv ever used. It could crash 3 or 4 times in the space of an hour. It shows up blank pages for no reaon, it freezes, its slow to respond when navigating tabs, favorites ect. And the worst
thing of all it has no flash player..PS3 has one so why doesnt xbox one..It is meant to be next gen after all. I cant even watch facebook videos. So rediculous

 

To answer your question, this might be an experience that is not widespread. I for one do not seem to have the problems as you describe. I'd recommend taking a look at the actions you're performing and looking at the error messages you're getting and seeing
if there is a common thread, or an avenue that might be the cause of your frustrations?

I'd recommend looking into your storage or internet connection and see if those might be causing issues in loading games and media.

Now, I'm not going to defend Edge on the console, not a big fan of that implantation.

You'd have to take a look at the apps you're using, review the error messages, and identify where the problems originate. Right now the blanket of issues you're experiencing is broad and a little to generic to provide some good clear troubleshooting steps.
When issues start happening, think about documenting them, and tackling them as isolated issues, which might lead to identify what the problem is for other issues you might be experiencing.

Most of the problems that the console has is because the console never goes really off, by default when you stop playing, the console goes to sleep mode, after repeated times doing this the memory start to fail, this also happens with PC, i never turn off
my PC, i always use the sleep mode and between time and time i need to restart the PC too, of course this mode is very convenient because the systems starts really fast. But when you start to notice errors like this is time to do a full reset or a Power Cycle.

You also can configurate the console to never go to sleep mode, you can do this in the power setting options, in that way you will avoid a lot of inconvenients like this:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select System > Settings > Power & startup.

Select Power mode & startup, then choose the options you want.

Another thing that can also cause a variety of issues, is if you are usinge surge protection plug board. The S and X both have built in surge protection and should be plug direct into a mains electric supply.

Quiting games and apps properly also helps. When on home or in the guide, highlight the game or app and press the 3 dash button. From the flyout menu select quit.
