    Xbox one is broken, looking for help.


    Hey, recently my xbox just randomly broke. After getting a gaming PC my xbox one has just been relegated to youtube, 3 days ago it randomly started only putting out grey screens and freezing. After powering it off and on many times it finally booted to an error saying I should factory reset the console. I did so, deleting many screenshots videos and other precious memories I had on my xbox made over the last few years, and now it still doesnt even work properly. It commonly freezes and turns itself off even though I put in settings that it doesnt turn off after inactivity. When I try to install a game it freezes, if I try to start up youtube it sometimes freezes. Im hoping to see if I can get it fixed or atleast have my screenshots recovered as my xbox didnt seem to save any to onedrive. I cant find any proper support since microsoft wont let me call them and refuses to use emails. Also I must clarify that I never abused my xbox in any way shape or form, I dont know why it isnt working. What should I do?

    The message that had my Preview Program code got deleted, is there any way that I could get it back?

    I see this from time to time in my line of work. I'm a Cable Installer for a local MSO out in the Midwest. This kind of screen (back in the day) was mostly caused by some little kid drawing on the TV with a
    magnet!

    Typically in this day and age, what you are seeing is caused by a bad HDMI cable or a bad HDMI port on the TV or device producing the picture. My recommendation would be to swap cords and inputs on the TV. As a last resort before repair, swap TV's if you
    can. If the problem persists, you may want to consider sending the console in for service. You can get started on the service process here:

    Hey MightyMilkMan x,

    Have you tried to use a different HDMI Cable to see if that is causing the issue?

    You can also try to reset the Resolution using the "Your screen is blank after you turn on the console" section of that guide and follow the steps on there:

    If you have tried a different cable, different HDMI Port on your TV and the resoltution reset and still seeing the issue you can check Register your Console on the following page and set up a repair request.

    They are able to tell you how much a repair will be or if they offer a repair Option for that Kind of issue.

    Doesn't look or feel like an Xbox One app anymore. Shame.
