    xbox one instant mode install- known problem??


    I use the xbox one digital shop only and I had serval problem releted to a bunch of game using the instant mode option (power mode).

    I always prefer to download the games (around 35 GB) at night when I don't use the xbox, so that I can play at the other day. I prefer to shut down the xbox to instant on mode, in that mode the installation of the queue games runs in the background.

    the first problem was with forza 5- when I came to play the game went immediately to the xbox home. I reinstall the game with the xbox in use (the system was on) and it worked just fine.

    the second problem was with guacamelee- long story short- after I install the game without the instant on the game works fine.

    and now, for the third time, I downloaded battlefield, when I came to play the usual thing happened and the game shut down to the xbox home screen (after the logo).

    is that coincidence? if not I the tech team do anything to fix this problems?

    Installing Games Question

    I am going to pick up Destiny tonight at my local GameStop and I was wondering if the Xbox One can continue installing a game from instant-on mode. I ask this because my WiFi connection isnt the strongest, making it take awhile to install games. I wanted to let Destiny install while I sleep so I can play when I wake up. If games cant install from instant-on mode then Ill just leave my console running.

    Interesting - My Xbox One uploading while powered off/in standby

    LOL Jwalker, straight from XBOX.com

    It says it downloads the updates on the console itself when you go the settings. They even talked about it during the press events. The uploading is probably just various amounts of data that we probably agreed to so that can gather general info about how the XBOX One is being used.

    If you have your Xbox One on instant on mode turn it to energy saving mode instead. Instant on causes alot of problems with networks.

    Is your console by any chance set to Instant on ? If so try putting it on Energy saving to see if this resolves the issue. Instant on is known to have issues since it just goes into a sleep mode. You can find out how to change the powermode here

    The game should install on your Xbox One if it is set to instant on. If it is set to power saving mode, then it should install the moment you switch the console on.

    Try switching these modes to see if this resolves the problem.
