Xbox one Home/ Xbox entirely not responding

I have the same problem. No reboot hard/soft, power off or anything will get it to work properly. The first time it did say it needed an update but couldnt do it at that time. Any ideas anyone?

Just hangs at grey screen with ability to bring up the sign in thing but cant select anything or do anything!!

So when I turn my xbox one on it does the usual green start up screen but after that it goes to a grey screen. When I hit the home button on my controller it doesn't immediately pull up the dash board but when I do it again it does but it doesn't let me
select anything. I tried powering the console off and unplugging it for a few minutes but it still doesn't work.

Anyone have any idea whats going on?

This same issue is happening to me, i turned mine off and on and got to the home page but now it is not letting me play any game and says it needs an update

We had a service alert earlier causing this type of errors, it has been fixed but if the issue persists we suggest
clearing out the consoles caches since when they get full might cause this type of errors.

How to clear Game Cache on the Xbox One:

Storage

Clear Local Saved Games

Yes and Restart

To clear the Network Card Cache (alternate MAC address)

Settings

Network

Network Settings

Advanced settings

Alternate MAC Address

Clear and restart

IF THE CONSOLE IS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET no progress or purchase data will be lost, what we accomplish by doing these steps would be to resync the profile to
the cloud getting rid of any corruption as a byproduct.

Xbox support mentioned that they are aware of reports of Xbox One console startup, title update and sign-in errors. Our teams have identified the cause for our earlier issues and are continuing to address these now.

Would love to know myself one min everything was fine shut it off came back turned it on and blank screen menus unresponsive and all attempts at a reboot fix pointless
