    Xbox One Home Dashboard, terrible?


    There have been multiple Updates/Revamps of the Xbox Dashboards ever since the Xbox 360, it seems Xbox can't fully decide on a theme or style, dramatically changing it each time, trying to find the perfect style, which I respect, but the current style of
    the Xbox One Dashboard, feels terrible.

    For the most part the various pages are fine...I guess the Home Tab however on the Xbox One Dashboard just feels and looks wrong, the Home Page should look and feel amazing as it is the first thing you see when the console fully turns on.

    The Game and App Tiles have great functionality, and is a simple and easy to use feature, but the layout and design of the current Xbox One Home Dashboard just doesn't feel as if much effort or design went in to it.

    Maybe I'm just being picky or petty, but I was wondering if anyone else agreed, or had a different opinion to me.

    Different Dashboard Options

    Here's an idea. The Xbox one has different dashboard presets you can choose from. For example you can go back and forth from the old blade system, the NXE dashboards and the Xbox one dashboard (or home).

    Ideas? Thoughts?

    In the centre of the Home segment is a screen that's supposed to cycle through various adverts. It never does. How do you do this manually?

    I agree with you 100% and everyone on my gaming crew agrees as well. I am ok with the look, and the

    metro' tiles I guess, but It takes too many clicks, pages and roll outs and needless navigation to do one simple thing. Inviting friends to party and games should be way easier, getting to pins/favorites should be simpler, ADDING new friends should be simpler.
    Then there is the Home screen... home screen is terrible and a waste of space. Why adds? why store links? what happened to having our stuff WE WANT on the home page? The functionality of the entire dashboard needs to be streamlined badly.

    It has nothing to do with ISP or router, it's just a terrible dashboard. If the home page loads empty with pins missing etc hold LT + RT and press Y to manually refresh it, in most cases that will fix it.

    Xbox one says my nats open, but games says its not.

    Yeah the home hubs are terrible.

    Don't bother upgrading to the latest home hub 5 as those hubs are terrible. They are not compatible with the Xbox one(or ps4 for that matter). The UPnP on them is not compatible with demonware port mapping that Activision games use and require port forwarding.
    I would recommend anyone with BT to ditch the hubs and replace them with a decent compatible router.
