Xbox one home button not working

my Xbox one home button on the controller has stopped working. I can't get to the dashboard from inside a game nor can I turn on my Xbox via my home button. I have no idea how ithis hiss happened

When i hard reset my xbox i try to turn on my controller but the home button is not working at all, what do i do?

Vigita and Xuoi, may I ask if it locks up your system completely? Because mine has been doing this whenever I do anything more than move around the dashboard. Usually after I try to go to social or store or anything that isn't just letting sit there really.

Hi there BeefyPanda19.

Really sorry to hear about the home button troubles, to start out, give your Xbox One a full power cycle (hold down the power button for 8-10 seconds and turn it back on), and then try using the button again. If you're still having troubles after a power cycle,
try connecting your controller via USB cable to see if there's any trouble then.

I have this problem too. When I play a game, I can't go back to the Xbox home screen. I have to power off and then restart. WTF????
