Xbox One Help

Hello everyone i desperately need help because believe it or not i am freaking out just a small bit. I had just bought a new usb 3.0 TB hard drive to use as more storage for games but no matter what i did It would not recognize it as a 3.0 or even as anything
more than a media device. It wont even let me use it as a capture device because it says its too slow even tho the drive says right on it that its a 3.0 1 tb drive so i was on my last attempt i thought well maybe i can at least move the captures i did have
already to it but alas when i went to the captures section the clips were gone...now something u need to know during my process of trying to get the drive to work i did a system reset not a full one just the one to delete corrupted data because it said it
would NOT delete any games or apps or anything. Yet my 3 locally saved captures are just GONE. Is there any way to get them back? Where did they go? Why did this happen? And no they were not backed up on live or onedrive due to having no storage left on my
console i couldnt even upload them to begin with which is why i saved them locally and was gonna transfer them to my pc. But now they are gone they were ONLY saved locally. The console said it WOULD NOT delete ANYTHING yet it obviously did im very upset as
im 100 hours into dragon age so theres no way i can go back and redo those videos im at a total loss as to why this happened
