    Xbox One HDMI into new TV


    I have moved into a new flat and the TV is not connecting to my Xbox One via HDMI. The HDMI is plugged into the HDMI OUT on the Xbox and into a HDMI IN on the TV, but the Source ID on the TV for HDMI is called HDMI HD STB. The Xbox connects to other monitors through HDMI and the TV connects to my laptop through HDMI, but the Xbox does not connect to the TV. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Unfortunately there is no way to connect the internal Receiver of the TV to the Xbox One for TV functions,

    The HDMI IN on the Xbox One is designed to work with Satellite or Cable TV which involves having a separate box that normally connects to the TV with an HDMI cable.

    Thanks Daft Badger - I know I'm missing out with not having a HDMI TV but I cant afford a new XBox One and a new TV. I will eventually get a HDMI TV so I need way to play on SCART TV.

    Could you try the following?

    • Try connecting your Xbox One to another TV is possible.
    • Try using another HDMI to connect from the Xbox One to the TV. This may see if it's your console or the HDMI cord you're using is bad.
    • Connect the HDMI to another port of your TV (HDMI 1, HDMI 2).
