I'm afraid in that case it appears to be an issue with the HDMI ports ports the console will need to be repaired. Since it isn't under warranty anymore I'll suggest you take it to a local departmental store so their repair department can fix it for you and you can take it home the same day.

I just wanted to let you know that I have done the power cycling that you suggested I do, and nothing changed. After doing that, I tried doing a factory reset and nothing changed again. I would like to see if you have any other suggestions as to what I could do to get this problem fixed.

I went over to my Xbox to see if anything had happened overnight, and when I turned it on, everything looked fine. I guess good things come to those who wait.

Try a different TV just to be sure. If that doesn't help, I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

- Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

If that doesn't help, I'll suggest you try doing a factory reset keeping games and apps on your console. This will refresh the console and remove all potential bugs without deleting any game data.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

- Select Reset console.

- Choose Keep Games and Apps

Once that is done, you'll need to sign into the console using your Microsoft account credentials. If the issue is with your console, that should fix it.
