    Hi guys! Quick question, because it has been completely befuddling me. And I have search the forums, and have not found any answer.

    Every time i turn on my Xbox One for the first time, there’s no audio. But then when i restart the console, the audio returns. It’s like this every time.

    I’ve already tried power cycling and my system is up to date. Im using HDMI audio.

    Hi guys! Thank you all for trying to help me.

    No, I am not a part of the insider program. The audio is simply going from my Xbox via HDMI directly into my television. I have done a soft factory reset, and the problem persists.

    A full factory reset removes all games and apps, the soft factory reset keeps all games and apps but does exactly the same refresh of the operating system that a full factory reset does.

    As GroundOregano94 asks, are you part of the Xbox Insider Preview program, if so file a report on the console when this happens. If you aren't you can download the Xbox Insider Hub app and file a report, you don't have to join the program to file bug reports.

    You don't mention if you have an audio receiver/sound bar or just straight to your TV

    Dear friend, are you a member of an insider program? Testing builds have some issues with sound.

    Unfortunately, this did not work. Same situation, just tested it. Am I looking at a full factory reset now?

    Hi Narphobula,

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. There could be a corrupt file causing this. We recommend to do a

    soft factory reset    . This will fix any corrupt files, but will leave your games and apps on the console. It will however remove any profiles on the account. You will not lose any save data if you been connected to the internet as it saves to the cloud.

    If you’re ready to reset your console to the factory default settings, follow these steps:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.
    3. Select Reset console.
    4. Select Reset and keeps my games and apps.
