I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your console.

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions:

• May I ask which Xbox One model you are using?

• Do you see "No signal", "Input not supported" or a similar message on your TV?

• Are there any external storage units plugged into your console?

• Have you already tried booting your console to the startup troubleshooter?

- Turn your console off and unplug it for 30 seconds.
- Plug your console back into the outlet.
- While the console is off, press and hold the BIND and EJECT buttons.
- Without letting go of them, press the power button once (do not hold).
- Continue holding BIND and EJECT for 15 seconds or until you hear a second boot-up tone.

* The BIND button is the one used to link controllers to your console and the EJECT button is the one used to eject disc games.

** If you have an Xbox One S All-digital edition, you can perform this sequence by holding the BIND button only, as your console does not have an EJECT button.

Seems to change based on the light in the room. Kinda like when your phone screen dims. Dark room = dim Xbox logos on the system, Kinect and controller, bright room = bright light.

This is mainly caused by your tv so check if there is a dimming effect caused by some "ambient light sensor" or the "dynamic contrast". Turn this setting off if it and also calibrate the brightness on your tv under normal conditions.

Hey guys, thanks for the responses. So it goes from bright to dim even without a Kinect? My Xbox one is in a fairly bright room, it is basically a 3 season sun room, surrounded with Windows and doors. With the sunlight, it's hard to even see the Xbox
one light during the day, but it's visible at night. When I boot up my Xbox 1 controller, it starts off bright when it is flashing and before it stops it turns dim and then stops, it kinda looks purple ish a bit, but I think I'm overthinking. Games run fine,
just was curious.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with kinect measuring the amount of light in the room. If I turn kinect off, it goes to full brightness, but when I turn it back on - it dims again because my room has low light in it.
