    xbox one hangs during install of second game


    My xbox one hangs during the installation of a second game. I have restored the console to factory defaults (without saving any games etc.) several times and have then tried to install 2 of the 4 or 5 games we own. It always hangs sometime during the install
    of the second game. Unfortunately, I'm not sure when this began as it happened while my kids were using the xbox and they aren't sure.

    This seems like a hardware issue. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how was it resolved?

    Re-Instalment

    The xbox one will install game updates during the install of the disc which increase the load times. Disconnecting the console from the internet should solve the issue

    Right, so have deleted all the saved game data from console and cloud (delete everywhere). Have un installed the game. Re started xbox following holding the button in for 10 seconds.

    Re installed the game created a new character then selected the character, which we could do before, then went to start playing it goes to your worlds and online one and then does same. Hangs with a grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr noise and then goes back to the home
    xbox screen.

    Issues may occur during game installation for some reasons. First, if the system tries to install an update for the game. Second, if there's a network interruption during the said installation. Kindly provide us the following information for us to determine
    the root cause:

    • Are you using an Xbox One console or a Windows 10 computer?
    • Have you made any changes to your device before encountering this issue?
    • Are you able to install other games?
    • Is your device connected to a wired or a wireless network?
    • Are you getting any error messages?

    Sorry for your frustrations. As you have discovered the initial initial installation and setup can be time consuming. A fast internet and patience can be your friend during the process. Hang in there it does get easier. :)
