Xbox One - GTA V won't finish installing, unable to move to external storage

Hi,

just intalled a new external hard drive on my Xbox one, all games transfers over fine apart from GTA V. It says I need to finish installing before I can move it.

When I try to finish the install it says 100% but still displays the option to finish the install.

Any ideas?

External hard drive not transferring data

I have had a Seagate 3TB external for several months. Recently I noticed that the Xbox one is not installing it to by default anymore. Also if I go into the external storage and attempt to manage the games installed on the hard drive they do not give the
option to delete, move or anything other than local saved data. I am also unable to move games, now installing onto the system HD, to the external. I am however able to play the games from the external HD though. Anyone else seen this? I am hoping I don't
need do a reformat, 1.5 TB in and I am not on the speediest connection. Any help is appreciated.

Hey there azendj.

Are you installing the game to internal storage or do you have an external storage device? If you're using external storage, try installing it directly on your Xbox One to see if there's any change.

Are you trying to install GTA V on the internal storage of the console? Can you try to install it on an external HD or an SSD expansion card?

This is a digital purchase, not a physical/disc purchase, right?

Also, what version is your GTA V? Is it the Xbox Series S/X optimized version or the Xbox one version?
