Xbox One Green Screen of Death

I have an old COD: Advanced Warfare edition Xbox One that I got back in 2013. For the longest time, I had no issues. A few weeks ago I experienced the green screen of death for the first time. I tried power cycling the console a few times to clear the cache, without any success. I then reset the console, keeping my games and apps, which prevented another green screen of death for a week or so. I then experienced the issue again, so I reset the console, clearing everything this time, only to once again face the issue after another week. This time I downloaded and installed an offline system update, which once again only fixed the issue for a few days. Upon this issue, I tried to once again install the offline system update in case anything had changed, only to find that now the update will not advance past 87% before freezing, despite making sure that I followed the same instructions that I followed when the update had originally installed completely. I also deleted the update off the USB and re-downloaded it, only to once again have it freeze at 87%. I reset my console one last time last night, only to once again face the green screen issue this afternoon. I've also tried both instant-on and energy saving as power modes.

At this point, is there anything else I can do to potentially fix my console's software? Or am I at the point where I'm dealing with a hardware issue due to the console being old? I own a gaming PC so I mostly only use the Xbox for streaming services and as a blu-ray player, but I would like to still be able to play a few older games, as well as utilize free xbox game pass games. If it comes down to needing to pay to repair, I'll probably just end up scrapping the console.
