Xbox One Graphics Completely Messed Up Unless I'm Playing Games That Allow 4K

Xbox one does NOT SUPPORT 4K gaming

Only the xbox one x and series x

One S nor the original and the series s allows it due to lack of power

They downgrade your resolution if it's not supported kn yoir console

So unless syou have.an xbox one x or.series x you don't have 4k

Even if the.game.supports it that's the max resolution not what the game.will.run.at.if you don't meet the above requirements

The discoloration is due to switching back and forth

Unless you havr an x or series x you should nt be running it unless you calibrate it to your tv for streaming and uhd movies which you can with the wizard

Because you are trying to turn on hdr in gaming when your console cannot if you don't havr an one x or serirs x or ps5

If you want a console for 4k gaming on a 4k tv then the xbox one x is your best bet as it will allow you too do this too its full potential. Unlike the xbox one s, it will provide you with better graphics and a better gaming experience.

This function will be added to the game when 4K graphics are added.

The Xbox One X version is already enhanced up to 4K (it rarely gets there). HDR and and 4K are two different things.

You'll be able to set the output of the Xbox One X to 1080p, and if a game supports HDR then the console will use it, I mean the Xbox One S supports HDR, so no reason why the Xbox One X would only allow it at 4K.

Thanks, I hope that is the case. The S will not allow HDR unless output is set to 4K. Not to tout the PS4 Pro but it told me my projector would not support HDR in 4K but offered up "2k HDR" as an option. I would hope the X was as elegant.

It may have been the laser messing up the disk. Is it only one game messing up with graphics, or is it for all games? Check for a etched ring on your games that has screwy graphics, if so, you may have a disk drive failure.
