    Xbox One ghost in the machine?!?


    So I have seen a few other posts about this, but no "real" solution. The Xbox One in my bedroom (I have the Xbox One S in my living room and don't have the same issue) has begun to turn itself on. This is bad as I have it set to toggle tv and cable box,
    so after turning it off at night, it will power itself on in the middle of the night waking me. I turn it off again and within the hour it does it again. This has only been happening in the past few days, but I am ready to unplug it from the heart of my bedroom
    entertainment setup as it's just annoying. I have been a good loyal Xbox customer for over a decade and about to buy my fourth console, the X. Please help!!

    Hi StunningTripod,

    Sorry you're having issues with your console. I would try wiping off the front of the console (panel with power button) down with a damp cloth. Also, if there are multiple people in your home with Xbox App or Smart Glass it's possible that it's turning the
    Xbox One on if someone is using that at the time. You can also try to do a hard reset by holding the power button down for about 10 seconds until the console turns off, and then turning it back on.
