Xbox One games will not download or update error code: 0x87e00005

Hi folks, I am wondering if anyone can suggest a possible solution? This error has persisted for the past week with no resolve.

Xbox One X is working perfectly, network tests in system settings says all Xbox services are fine - open nat and port forwarding is working, multiplayer, browsing - everything else is fine - only issues are with game download and update.

156GB Free Storage Space.

Xbox One X is downloading apps and updating apps and system software without issue.

Xbox One X game download and update failing and stopping at 0%.

Xbox Game Pass app alerts me that something is preventing download.

I have followed every possible angle, Microsoft online guides including full system reset, open nat, port forwarding, wi fi, ethernet and tethering to phone 4G.

It is really unacceptable that Three haven't communicated this issue out properly. It's been going on for a while with no real response.

There is also a forum thread and article on ispreview covering this and Three have responded to the site (link below if it doesn't get blocked) - so hopefully you can use that as ammo if they try to fob you off!

I'm sorry you ended up buying a new xbox! That is the worst thing I have heard about this so far. That is purely the result of Three sitting on the problem.

I find myself in a similar circumstance as everyone here, also an owner of the accursed b535 with three. Just to check have all your blocks been lifted?

Ive only been getting the installation stopped error since last week and it doesnt show signs of being fixed for me, in the meantime i will use one of the work arounds you so kindly provided
