Xbox One game won't launch

Recently I've had the issue where some games on my xbox that I purchased such as Minecraft don't launch. The problem is when I go to my games and apps and click on the game it makes the ding noise but nothing happens. I've tried reinstalling the game multiple
times but the same thing occures, my xbox is connected to the Internet and is updated to the newest version.

Xbox one won't launch games

Hi Guys,

Just recently I have been trying to install Homefront, but my Xbox won't launch the game to install it, I thought it was a faulty game, but with further research and mucking around I have come to the conclusion that it is actually my Xbox..

Now the Xbox seems to read the games, as if I have the game installed I can put the disc in, go to my games and apps, and click on the game app and launch it manually, but if I don't have the game installed I can not launch it in anyway, my Xbox just doesn't
want to play the game...

Any help would be great as 2 days ago I inserted gears of war 4 and it was fine, but now..

Can you try performing a power cycle and see if that resolves the issue? Press the power button for 10 seconds, unplug the console for 10 minutes and then reconnect it all.

After doing that a couple times still no luck the game isn't launching.

 

are you login to the account that you got minecraft for?

 

try going to your network settings and clicking on advanced settings then hit alternate mac address then click clear

 

This can be probably because...

+Gamesharing the game you own so it some times would not let you play.

+Scratched disc

+Having an error on your Xbox's disc reader.

First of all I doubt that he has many games disk that are "scratched"

Second of all the Minecraft game he has is most likely digital and cant be scratched.

Gamesharing does not lock the owner out of their own game.

This is a problem for many people since March and I doubt they all have scratched disks too. Every two weeks the same thing happens to me and I have to do a full reboot and my disks arent scratched at all. I had to delete ONLY my gamertag info and search
for it all over again last month TWICE.

While you are most likely right about the disk reader error if they are not digital. I have had two xbox ONES where it sometimes doesnt want to read a game disk or a Bluray.
