Xbox one- game starts then goes black and back to the home screen.

First, welcome to the Xbox community. I believe there is a problem with the Microsoft Store, however, I suggest you try the solutions below, please.

Solution 1:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

After removing the account follow the procedure below.

Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

Now add your account again.

Solution 2:

Press the Xbox button.

Open Settings.

Go to Network and select Network settings.

Select Advanced settings.

Select Alternate MAC Address.

Select Clear.

Select Restart.

Solution 3:

Try doing an offline update on your console by following the instructions below.

No error message at all. Game looks like it starts to load then goes back to the Xbox one home screen.

Same here, just updated my Xbox last night, everytime I start it up it only shows a black screen... Pressing home button only brings the shutdown menu, if I choose "report a problem" it shows the Xbox Feedback screen but then goes back to black

Hi Jasmine, changed to eco and games would play but no dvd's, done a soft factory reset, uninstalled and re-installed blu ray app, it played one dvd then back to same problem screen flashes between disc and black screen then press any button and the screen
goes black and only exit is to eject dvd and it goes back to home page, games work fine

Game was working fine. Xbox one user. Since 5/1 I'll start a game in franchise mode. Let's me play the first half inning. Cuts to the scoreboard, screen goes black for about 10 seconds then boots me to the Xbox home screen. Their recommended fix did not work... disappointing
