Xbox one froze stuck won't work HELP

My xbox one s loads the home screen but I can't select anything it's as if my controller is not registering with the xbox but then I press the xbox home button on my controller and the screen dims as if its trying to load the home menu but doesn't I've tried hard reset I can't get to setting as it won't let me get no further than the home screen/dashboard

Hi Bizassassin! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

First, power down your console fully and remove the power and network cables for at least 30 seconds. Plug the power cable back in and follow these steps:

Step 1: Hold down the Eject and Bind buttons on your console.

The Eject button is on the front of the original Xbox One console right next to the disk drive, while the Bind button is on the left side, directly adjacent to the disk drive, with a symbol that looks like “)))” on it. Note that on the Xbox One X and Xbox One S, both buttons are on the front of the console, with the Bind button sitting directly beneath the Xbox button on the right edge. The Xbox One S Digital doesn’t have an Eject button, so the Bind and Xbox buttons will do the trick. Once you are holding both buttons, press the Xbox (power) button on the front of the console.

Step 2: Release the Xbox button, but continue holding the Eject and Bind buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two tones before releasing these buttons. The Xbox Startup Troubleshooter will appear shortly after.

Step 3: Select Reset This Xbox from the settings and proceed with the factory reset.

I have tried this and I have tried to do an offline update nothing works I've read from thread to thread about it and nothing anyone has said has had any effect what so ever, seriously considering switching to Sony because to be honest Microsoft are absolutely useless at every aspect of any type of service

It froze during the update so I restarted the Xbox and now it's stuck

I am having the same issue with my console.I was able to play for 10 mins this morning and then I stuck black ops 2 in and got an update message.I assumed it was COD and said yes.Then it froze my entire console.I tried to play anything and nothing works.It
won't get past loading anything.I can't play anything without getting stuck after pressing start or just freezing my console. HELP PLEASE!?

I'm getting this problem too, My xbox is a 2009 white one and it won't play gears 3 properly. The first time I played it i got through the prologue bit with marcus and when the achievement popped the game just froze, all I could see on my screen was 'daaaad'
lol. Anyone I rebooted and tried again and it just froze as soon as began the prologue. I tried to install to HDD and like other people here it get's stuck on 44% and once on 46%, I hope they can sort this out with a patch. If the older consoles won't play
new games now then microsoft need to say somthing, so stupid.
