Xbox One freezing up and lagging

I understand that you are experiencing issues with freezing ang lagging on the Xbox one.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Kindly restart your modem/ router in order for the network to fully refresh.

After that is to check network connection.Ensure that your internet connection is stable. You can run a network test by going to Settings > Network > Network settings > Test network connection.

Please make sure that your Xbox One has proper ventilation. There should be no objects obstruct the vents on the console. Kindly place the console in an open space to allow for adequate airflow.

Most importantly, avoid placing the console in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

And then ensure that there will be no background apps open when you play a game on the Xbox. The games and apps should be properly closed before opening up another game.

Next is to update console and the game too. Your Xbox One and games should all be updated to the latest versions. Go to Settings > System > Updates & downloads and check for updates.

If the issue persists with specific games, pelase uninstall and then reinstall the game which will delete the corrupted files from the game file.

I started having problems like that after downloading Dawnguard. I've seen others online say the same thing (at least about the lagging and freezing). I haven't had that many xbox freeze-ups (actually probably one 1) BUT I'm having TONS of lag & game freezes.
Again, all since Dawnguard. I guess you've tried clearing the cache? I doubt it's your xbox. Hopefully, Bethesda will release a patch soon. I gave up on Dawnguard altogether, but let's not get into that...

How many pistons are you using? Using a lot, especially set up with a clock, will always cause lag.

Not sure if it's similar, but since the last update my Xbox one will freeze. It starts slow, a little lag, then if I try and turn it off it freezes. I have to unplug the console to reset it.

I am having freezing and crazy lag. Moved from ps3to Xbox one and I am regretting it wtf... All I see is lag problems every game from sports games to fps ...
