Xbox One Fortnite splitscreen: My Home Xbox necessary when my children want to play?

So no other answers, so I have to close this topic with the fact, that when my children are sharing games with other xbox (= my home ixbox is diferrent one than the piece I have in my living room), the only way how to play Fortnite splitscreen is that
my account is used and one of my child must play with this account............

If your account has the gold subscription, then you need to make the console the home Xbox, so your children can play splitscreen together. The game is an online multiplayer game, so everyone needs to have access to the gold subscription to play it.

But normally including Fortnite it is not necessary. Normally for all other playing must be console started with my account, then my children can switch to their account and everything is OK. I have the only problem with this split screnn feature, that is
why I am trying to understand, if I can use the splitscreen somehow without making the console the home Xbox.

Generally I found the only way how to run Fortnite splitscreen on my console:

1. returned back my home Xbox to my console

2. start Fortnite under occount of one child

3. inside game first log out other players and then log in second child - only in this case possibility to add 2nd player become active.

Thank you for your advice. I have set the Xbox to my home xbox and added the children an account on family management. The children cant seem to get back onto Fortnite now! They were playing on my account as I used that for set up. Any advice please. Also
at set up you had 2 choices for speed of xbox starting up I need to go back to that as it is too slow.

This is a month later but this answered quite a few of my questions as it is, but I want to ask another one just to verify. Can I set up the Xbox One in my living room, with my account as the "home" with LIVE -- then can I be playing on my 360, and my mother
playing (On LIVE) on the Xbox One (if she doesnt have LIVE herself)??

I bought two 360's years ago to defeat the issue of "competing" for gameplay time and splitscreens, I just dont want it to return because were "competing" for XBLive connection.
