    Xbox ONE External HDD Corruption

Hi, im now reformatting my 4th hard drive this year due to them all becoming unrecognisable at some stage. Have tried every possible troubleshooting method and always resorted to just reformatting them then downloading everything again.

im pretty sure this is happening way too often and i speculate my console is just being a
[mod removed] to me. Is there any guidance i can follow to ensure my xbox doesnt corrupt any of my external drives cuz downloading a dozen games everytime is a bit of a piss take.

    Any help would be appreciated

    :)

    Hello TrumpsBMX,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have a question on external hard drive issues. The only support we have is the guide for

    not detecting external hard drive
. Ultimately, the last troubleshooting is to reformat the drive. Who is the manufacturer of the external drive? Have you tried to reach out to them also?

    Thanks,

    Brad

    New console won’t install game

Try using an alternate external HDD, perhaps the one you have in your console is corrupt.

    Best of luck

Corrupted Halo Wars 2, Error Code 0x80070570

1, Attempt to retry the install from the Install Queue

    2. Users still seeing a corruption error should try to uninstall/reinstall HW2

    3. If you are still experiencing an issue and you have an external HDD, one of the below options should be attempted:

--Try to install to the external HDD

--Copy other games and apps to the external HDD, factory reset the console, and then reinstall HW2

    4. If the game was installed to an external HDD, make room on the internal HDD by moving things from the internal

Hi there, your HDD might be corrupted? perhaps try using another external HDD and see if downloaded into that medium, it is working?

Anytime you purchase any digital download, it will always be associated with your account (gamertag). So even if one day you run out of room on your HDD, you can delete anything and re-download again whenever you want. As for corrupting, I have never had
    anything corrupt.

until one day they decide to pull it from the marketplace. if you ever happen to run close to running out of HDD space i would suggest getting an external HDD and putting the games on an external HDD.
