Xbox One error: Systemfehler E208 0000045D 00000005 – How can I fix this?

I understand that you are experiencing issues with starting up the Xbox one.

Please be guided that this is a public community forum, so we are players like you, we are not employees of Microsoft or Xbox, so we do not have access to any user account or check anything from the forum. All users help each other with common problems.

First let us get the Start up troubleshooter:

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

Press and hold the Pair button and the Eject button on the console, and then press the Xbox button  on the console.

NOTE: The Xbox Series S and the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition do not have Eject buttons. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the Pair button (steps 3 and 4) and then pressing the Xbox button .

Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

Once you see it, please choose: "Continue" and it'll restart and update the Xbox.

For the offline system update, here's the step by step process:

You’ll need a Windows-based PC with internet access and a USB flash drive with at least 6 GB of space, formatted as NTFS.

And then visit the official Xbox Support page and download the Offline System Update file (OSU1).

Next is copy the downloaded update file to your USB drive.

On your Xbox One, power it off completely. Then, press and hold the Bind and Eject buttons, and press the Xbox button once. Keep holding Bind and Eject until the console enters the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

Then select Offline System Update and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Games on the Xbox do save to the cloud on your account, so doing a partial factory reset will remove most things, but your saves will safely be stored in the cloud.

If you have chosen to keep your games and content on the console when doing the reset, then the DLC will stay on the console with the games. If you decide to remove everything, then you will have to redownload the DLC and the games to the console at no
extra cost to you.
