Xbox one error code re not connecting to network

My son's is trying to sign into xbox live and we get an error code 0x800704cf saying need to be connected to the network.

We've tested the network settings and overall the xbox says it is connected to the network but won't allow any sign in to xbox live?

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance....

Can't connect to Xbox Live.

Did you try and going into the network on the xbox and reset it up? Is it connecting to the network but not Live? and if if just not connecting to live, what is the error code your getting?

Hey mate, that code can have a range of solutions, but rest assured it does not mean anything is banned.

The first thing to try is switching the Xbox off and unplugging the router from the power. Let it sit for at least 60 seconds before switching it back on as well as the Xbox. If it doesn't connect try deleting your profile from the console (profile only),
clear the system cache 3 times. Restart the console and re-download your profile:

If you're still not connecting to Xbox Live try resetting your network to factory defaults by going to System Settings>Network Settings>Select Wired/Wireless>Configure Network>Additional Settings>Restore Defaults and testing your Xbox Live connecting, if
it connects try to re-download your profile.

The above is what I had to go through when I got that error code, but as I said there can be a range of solutions to this issue.

 

Have you tried resetting your modem and router?

 

Try removing the account from the console, doing a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on, and then re-adding the account.
