Most of a console's storage space is available for games and apps, though some is reserved for saved games, console software (OS), and other system functions. That being said, I'm afraid there is no way to tell exactly how much of that reserved space is allocated for saved data. This is mainly because Xbox consoles automatically back up our saved data in the cloud when connected to the internet, which means that even if we were to delete everything from our consoles, there would still be a backup on the cloud at all times.

May I ask if the steps from my initial reply work?

How do you find out how much space you have for saved data?

I dont understand if there is available storage why they cant be used for saved data? Seems like a very poor design

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing some issues with your console.

This error means your console has run out of space for saved data, which is not exactly the same as the 100GB of free space it has.

• You can some space by going to My games & apps > choose one of your games > Manage game & add-ons > Saved data > select your profile > "Delete from Console". This will delete the local saved data for that specific game.

• If you'd like to delete all local saved data, you can do so by going to Settings > System > Storage devices > Clear local saved games.

• Factory reset:

- Go to Settings > System > Console info > Reset Xbox Keep games and apps.

Just keep in mind you will need an internet connection and your account details (email and password) to complete the set-up process.

*** Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. If your console has been constantly connected to the internet and Xbox Live services, your saved data should be backed up on the cloud.
