    Xbox One Elite Series 2 Controller RB Unresponsive


    I'm just going to preface by saying I know I'm not the first person to experience this.

    I purchased my elite series 2 controller in January of 2020, and have taken great care of it as I do all my hardware. I'm now experiencing an unresponsive RB button, and have seen other reports of it being a known issue with the series 2. I'm not hard on
    any of my buttons, and have never had trouble with an unresponsive bumper - no game or app in particular has caused me be hard on my right bumper.

    That said, my controller is outside of the 90 day warranty period. What I find interesting is that when I requested warranty replacement for my elite series 1 due to a stick drift issue (another known problem) it was replaced by Microsoft no issue - though
    I'd had it for approximately a year before it was replaced.

    What I'm wondering is why was my year old elite series 1 replaced, but not my 8 month old elite series 2. The kicker is that all issues I've experienced with these controllers are NOT user generated, but known defective product issues - always xbox fault,
    never mine, as like I said I take great care of my hardware.

    I can't help but feel a strong sense of resentment and distrust with Microsoft now, because I love the elite controllers and their features - but to have KNOWN DEFECTIVE issues on 150-$200 controllers is simply egregious.

    I don't feel as though I should be punished for this issue happening outside of a short 90 day warranty period.

    On top of that, of course they don't offer phone support for this.

    I'm posting here in hopes somebody has had a similar experience and successfully had their elite 2 replaced, and can walk me through how I can accomplish that as well.

    Microsoft knew the controllers were defective and still sold them as a good product. they wont do anything to fix your controller because its most like out of warranty thats why the warranty was so short. The whole elite series 2 was a scam

    I would say yes. A lot of elite controllers (series 1 and 2) have several manifacturing problems, the most common are RB/LB malfunctioning and sticks.
