    I have the same problem with my XBONE Elite Controller, and also no XBox One to update it Xbox One Elite controller not working anymore after (failed?) Xbox Accessories firmware upgrade :( Its a shame that microsoft doest reply/fix this error

    Another victim here. Received my brand new Elite controller today, bricked after the update from xbox accessories app.

    It may have been windows 10 anniversary update drivers that caused issue. Anyone here is facing the same brick issue without the anniversary update on their windows 10?

    Just used xbox accesories in windows 10 anniversary to update my xbox one controller and now is bricked. This is *** ridiculous.

    i just bricked mine using the app. whats the warranty, a year? my CC also adds a year to the warranty. you guys might want to check into that

    I have gone around my city looking for Xbox One console demo machines around my city, been to few malls and I can't find a single shop that has a Xbox One demo unit which I can use to update my Elite controller's firmware.

    This is so screw up.

    Hi Neecko92,

    Seems like the only workaround now is to connect your Elite controller to a Xbox One console, and update your Elite controller via the Xbox One console. Then it will work on your PC again.

    Well, is there any workaround that doesn't require an Xbox One? I don't have one and live in a small town so there are no retailers in my area.

    That's the only known working solution right now. I couldn't find myself a Xbox One console either.

    Alternatively, someone rolled back windows 10 anniversary update and got his Elite controller working. I'm not sure if that's a safe move as the anniversary update rollback may end up breaking your W10.
