Xbox One Download Speeds dropping to 20 kb/s and no higher than 5 mbps
I recently bought Xbox Live like 2 hours ago just to play Fortnite, I am updating fortnite as we speak and it is downloading at 20 kb/s while my core internet on my computer which is connected to the same network is running at 10 mb/s, so what i'm saying
is my download speed is very very slow and it's making me mad. Any Help?

EDIT: This problem was solved by redownloading my Fortnite.

Try setting your DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 both are very fast in responce time.

check your internet stats in the network settings and if it shows slow download speed then try restarting your router.

but if thats not the case then its from the high traffic on the servers and just try restarting console

Some things u might want to try is doing a full restart of your XBox and then consider hardwiring your connection with cat 6 or cat 7 cable. I have mine hardwired with cat 7 and also have a 1000 mbps connection but sometimes still have very slow game download
speeds of 75-150mbps. Depends on the server i suppose

occasionally xbox servers get overloaded when many people are downloading the same thing. It could also be a bandwith issue, see if disconnecting other devices from your internet increases your speed
