    Hi all,

    For some reason as of recent my Xbox One doesn't find my 5GHz network anymore. Under my network I have two connections, one 2.4GHz and the other 5GHz which are both named differently. My Xbox One used to be able to connect and discover the 5GHz network but
    now all it sees is the 2.4GHz one. Also, my Xbox One isn't living up to the speeds of my internet connection with it being more than 5x slower than any other device in my network. I know it's not a problem with my router as all my other devices can connect
    to the 5GHz network. Is there any way to fix it? I've tried manual connect and Ethernet will not work out due to being in different rooms.

    Can't get smartglass to connect

    I figured it out for me and hopefully it will help someone else. It was 2 things. One I had the old IOS app, downloaded the new one. Two my wireless network beams a 2.4 GHZ and 5GHZ channel. My phone was on the 2.4 and the Xbox was connected to the 5GHZ channel. I connected my phone to the 5GHZ channel wifi and now all is bueno.

    Summary:

    Within 30 sec of turning my XBOX One on, my
    5GHz Wi-Fi network starts to have issues unless my XBOX One is also connected via 5GHZ Wi-Fi.

    Issue:

    I have two windows tablets, 1 windows phone that are using my 5GHz network fine all day long, until i got my XBOX One and powered it up connected via an Ethernet cable.

    As soon as I power my One down and it is off, my 5GHz network comes back up just fine!

    I noticed this pattern so I thought I'd try using the 5GHz network for my One. I disconnected the Ethernet and set up my 5GHz SSID on the One and it connected great. I tested via some game downloads, turning
    off and on, and streaming some HULU. While I was doing this on my One, I was also using my tablets and phone on 5GHz without issue!

    The second I plugged the Ethernet cable in, the 5GHz dropped on all Wi-Fi devices in my house!

    What is the XBOX One doing on 5GHz when you plug an Ethernet in? It must not be really turning the Wi-Fi radio off...

    Anyone else see this?

    So I bought a Wireless N Network Adapter and it recognised it automatically upon plugging it, performed a software update via Xbox Live, but it won't recognise any 5GHz networks, only 2.4GHz ones.

    Any ideas on how to get it to work with 5GHz networks?
    Will that adaptor even see 5ghz

    I bought a new Xbox Series S but it only detect and connect to 2.4 ghz wifi , but not able to detect and connect to 5ghz wifi . Is there any solution or i have to replace the unit

    Have you tried restarting your internet equipment, sometimes my devices can't find my 5ghz network, but a restart of my internet equipment solves it. Also check to see if your 5ghz network is turned on.

    If the adapter works but the slim doesn't, you might want to check and see if your network is broadcasting 2.4ghz or 5ghz. The internal adapters do NOT pick up 5ghz but the black two antenna adapters do.

    Alright, first off are you using the built in WiFi on the Xbox, if so it can only pick up 2.4GHz and if you have a "Wireless Networking Adapter" it can pick up both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. It can be that your Virgin Super Hub box is only a 5GHz and thats why Xbox
    can't find that wireless connection.
