Xbox one does not have enough storage for game update

Hi all,

I have had this issue for some time now. I tried updating Modern Warfare today; the update requires 98 GB of storage. I have 183 GB storage available right now. Every time I try and update the game, or use ways of fixing it, it gives me an error notification
stating it requires 1561 more MB to download and update. I have already deleted and removed larger games and apps in order to make space but it still comes up with the same error message. I have consulted various forums as well and tried their methods of fixing
this, however, it has not worked. I'm just trying to pass the time during this quarantine and play some war zone with my buddies so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to get your game update to install as intended. I can totally see how eager one would be to play this game with friends and hopefully we can help point you in the direction towards a resolution. I suggest
a soft reset of the console. It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

When you get the chance, follow the steps here on
How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One, select the option denoted reset and keep my games & apps and let us know how that helps with the issue.

As mentioned below provide the error. Also consider buying an extra hard drive, doesn't have to be an expensive one that could be converted to use with your xbox

Well, it could be that you need the update to access the full game through Xbox Live.

If it started to update and you cancelled it, it might uninstall the game which would explain why it states that you need that 57 gigs.

I would make sure that your console hard drive DOES have enough space to allow for the updated version of the game first, then try update it.
