Xbox One - does not connect with gigabit speed via cable

Hi,

I have an Xbox One Modern Warfare edition, and I am unable to connect to my router with a gigabit connection. It only detects 100Mb instead of 1000Mb. This was not a problem until now and never noticed, as I had a 100/100 connection at home, but I just upgraded to a 600/600 fiber line.

The router is compatible, I currently have a Switch and a NAS connected with 1000Mb, and also the laptop. I also tested connecting the XboX to a different router and I get the same result.

I have bought a new cable in case it was the problem, CAT7, and still only connects with 100Mb.

The Xbox has open NAT, all ports opened, I have restarted it and the router many times.

Any idea on how to solve it, or how to force gigabit connection? Thanks

reset the network on the xbox under the network settings and then fully shut off the xbox and router, then turn the router on and wait till fully booted then the xbox.

I have a cable cat5e, and just it case it was faulty I bought a new Cat7, and still the same issue, so it is not the cable. If I connect a laptop to the same cable, it gets 1000mb

I believe your console might need either a network reset or just a system refresh. I would like you to go through the following steps below:

First, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

if your router has gigabit ports and you still get wooMb then its your cable, change the cable to a cat5e or higher
