Xbox One disc issues

Are you able to try other Backward Compatible Xbox 360 discs on your Xbox One to see if this occurs with that one disc or with multiple discs? If the issue only occurs with that one disc, check for scratches and attempt to wipe the disc down with a micro
fiber cloth. If the issue continues, that disc may need to be replaced.

From what I understand, Xbox One games are always Blu-Ray discs...so, if the games are XBox One games, then it sounds like it's an issue with the discs themselves if the console will play a Blu-Ray movie without issue.

If the discs are Xbox 360 discs (DVD discs), then it sounds like the Laser diode thing is faulty if non-game DVDs sometimes have issues

Xbox One Disc Troubleshooter? If not, run through each of those steps first to determine what the issue could be. If the issue persists, and other Xbox One discs continue to work, your disc may need to be replaced.

Don't send your console back. A friend of mine and I are having the exact same issues today. Must be something at their end.

Edit: I'm on OS 6.2.10698.0 which looks lower than yours. Accidental rollback perhaps?
