    Xbox One Disc Drive Not Injecting Discs


    Recently my original Xbox One console stopped loading game discs. When I press the eject button without the disc in it, it makes the sound that there is no disc to eject. But when I stick the disc in the tray to be injected, it makes the normal ding noise, a slight mechanical noise, and then nothing happens. I can still play digital games just fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    The disc drive loading mechanism has likely failed. As the original models of Xbox One are no longer repaired, I’m afraid you’ll need a new console.

    Try doing the procedure below and see if it returns to normal.

    Xbox One reset keeping Games:

    Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

    Select system > system > console > system

    Select Reset console.

    Restore and maintain my games and apps.

    Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

    Note - You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

    If you do the procedure and it continues with the same problem, try doing a full console reset.

    However if after that the problem persists, the ideal would be to send your console for warranty.

    Are you playing the games with the Xbox 360 game disc in the drive? It is no different than Xbox One disc-based games, in that you must have the game disc in the drive to play it.

    Your disc won't be still inside your console. The Xbox One Blu-ray drive (just like all optical drives) is an enclosed unit and can only take one disc at a time there is literally nowhere for a disc to go, other than be picked up by the drive and spun. If
    there is already a disc there or otherwise stuck in the drive, the other disc wouldn't go in.

    That is correct! The next generation of Xbox One S wont feature a disc drive. While other Xbox One S with disc drives will be available.
